Summary: By creating a VerdCore account you agree to these terms. Your project data stays yours — we just need a licence to process it to run the service. Paid plans bill monthly or annually via Stripe and can be cancelled at any time. The service is provided "as is," and VerdCore's liability is limited as set out in Section 9.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you (and, where applicable, the organisation you represent) and VerdCore Ltd ("VerdCore", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales, Company No. 17341522. By creating an account or otherwise using VerdCore, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
VerdCore is environmental compliance software for UK construction — a platform for logging site data (fuel, materials, transport, waste) and generating carbon reporting, compliance certificates, and tender documentation calculated against DEFRA emission factors and frameworks including PAS 2080, PPN 06/21 and Biodiversity Net Gain. VerdCore is a data-processing and reporting tool; it does not itself constitute legal, planning, tax or compliance advice, and does not guarantee that any report or certificate it produces will satisfy a specific client, auditor, or regulator's requirements (see Section 9).
VerdCore offers a Free plan and paid subscription plans (Pro, Business, and custom Enterprise agreements), described on our Pricing page. For paid plans:
You agree not to: use VerdCore for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure; reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the underlying software; interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service; or upload content you do not have the right to upload (e.g. evidence photos or documents belonging to a third party without permission).
You retain ownership of the project, site, and company data you enter into VerdCore ("Your Data"). You grant VerdCore a limited licence to host, process, and display Your Data solely to provide and improve the service to you. We do not sell Your Data, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models beyond the anonymised, aggregate processing described in our Privacy Policy.
You can export Your Data at any time via the CSV export feature, and request full account and data deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
VerdCore and its original content, features, design, and underlying software are and remain the exclusive property of VerdCore Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use VerdCore's trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.
VerdCore relies on the following sub-processors to operate the service: Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting), Netlify (application hosting and serverless functions), Stripe (payment processing), and Anthropic (AI recommendation processing on anonymised, aggregated data). Your use of VerdCore is also subject to the applicable terms of these providers where you interact with them directly (for example, Stripe's checkout).
VerdCore is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Emission factors, compliance frameworks, and reporting requirements change over time; you remain responsible for verifying that any report or certificate generated by VerdCore meets the requirements of your specific client, auditor, planning authority, or regulator.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VerdCore Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, contracts, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of VerdCore shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under English law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You may stop using VerdCore and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, including the Acceptable Use section, or if required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately; data deletion following termination is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the service or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Continued use of VerdCore after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
